I have an Enlish weblog at http://yellingrosa.wordpress.com. There you can read my articles, poems and watch the picture of the month. I have also a link to my Free Postcards folder which is a Picasa Web Album. About me is a short description of me in English.

From the beginning of the year 2020, Yelling Rosa Weblog merges to this Yelling Rosa Blogi, where you are now.  Weblog stays on the Internet, and you are still able to read my articles there.

You can read my English poems on my homepage http://www.yellingrosa.com/poems01.htm

You are very welcome to my blog.

Yelling Rosa

PS To avoid stress, I publish most of my material in my Muistikirja (Notebook). There aren’t any Like buttons, which make me restless. I write the material I post in Notebook in different languages and using different genres.

    Hi,

You visited my blog., annieasksyou, recently and generously liked several of my posts. Thank you very much.

I am wondering how you are feeling. When you switched to this blog, you wrote that you were very stressed by all the issues with the former one. Is it better now? I certainly hope so.
I’m not sure if I’m following you, but I would be happy to do so.
    Cheers,
    Annie

Not a problem. It was my pleasure to visit your blog and to like your post.
Yes, it is a little bit easier now because I can say everything in one place,
and when necessary, I can use only my mother language.
I wish you all the best

  7. Hi Mr. Rosa! Thank you so much for visiting my blog and for the ’likes’. Thank you also for doing an English version of your writings…as I was able to read and appreciate you poems – many of which are short (which is my favourite kind of poem!).

  8. Kiitos! for visiting and leaving a mark on my blog… I’m very grateful, indeed.

I’ve been remiss in checking and replying for quite a while, but I’ve woken up from my ’slumber’ and have restarted with some of my more ephemeral activities…

Wish you a great day, week, month… in lovely Finland: one of my dearest friends was born in Lapland, but I never got a chance to visit so far North.

My idea of the place is what she painted for me. Perhaps it’s the best way to know a Land, from the heart of someone that loves it so!

Thank you for visiting here in return.
Visiting your place and leaving a mark was my pleasure.
Yes, it’s beautiful here in Lapland, even though the real Lapland is about 200 kilometers from my place to the north. I live in the south-west corner of Lapland, Tornio. I see from my balcony to Sweden, Haparanda.
I wish you also all the best.

Thanks for visiting my blog. I’ve not been blogging very regularly but picking up again bit by bit. It has been a difficult year due to Covid-19. I expect Lapland must be one of the least infected areas in the world. Anyway, hope you and yours are doing well. Good luck, Ann

  11. Fascinating story! I was so sorry to see the condition of your family’s home. How unjust to be told to LEAVE and then for what purpose? So that the outline on a map can encompass more territory?

      Thank you for your comment.

The article wasn’t on the net for more couple of minutes, but you managed to see it. The idea is that the article will come out on the 1st of December 2020.

Anyway, I am delighted with what you wrote because the political elite has passed this Karelian issue since 1944, and at the same time, they support refugees all over the world. It is a shame that people in Finland don’t respect their heritage and roots. Our national epic Kalevala came alive in Karelia, and Finnish related people have lived more than 10.000 years in Karelia.

Now a young woman, Lotta-Sofia Saahko, has written a book, ”Papan kanssa kahvilla” (Having a coffee with Grandad), in which she tells her grandfather’s stories. He has heard the history at the coffee table. This grandfather also described how Finnish people call them Russians when they arrived in mainland Finland.

Here grandad and Lotta sings Evakon laulun (A Song of Evacuated One)

      You find the translation here
